Job Vacancies from Bradford Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Survivors Service
August 16, 2021We are recruiting 2 women* to support our new dispersed housing project. You will be the first operational individuals appointed and you will have maximum opportunity to make an immediate impact and make a real contribution to the overall success of the project.
In conjunction with The WISH (Women in Safe Homes) Fund and working closely with Winner (Preston Road Women’s Centre of Hull) we have secured the provision of an initial 30 safe homes in the Bradford district for women and their children who have previously experienced or are currently experiencing some level of vulnerability or hardship.
The homes will be ready and available for tenancy commencement by late early autumn.
We are recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to support women on their tenancy journey. In addition we are also looking to recruit an experienced Domestic Abuse Support Worker to provide the emotional and therapeutic support to enable our clients to restart their lives in a positive and meaningful way.
Your contract of employment will be with Bradford Rape Crisis however you will be seconded to the project delivery arm of our sister organisation Daizybell Homes, who in turn will supported by our operational partner Winner.
To be successful you will be a self-starter, highly motivated and results driven. We are looking for individuals capable of working autonomously with minimum supervision and capable of delivering agreed outcomes for our client group.
Vacancy [1] Housing Officer
You will provide high quality, proactive and confidential tenant focused housing management services to enable vulnerable women escaping Domestic and Sexual Violence to maintain a confidential tenancy and achieve independent living in dispersed units of accommodation located across the Bradford district.
Vacancy [2] Domestic Abuse Support Worker
You will support women moving into safe dispersed accommodation who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse. You will provide a client led, whole family approach to emotional and practical support planning, advice and advocacy. You will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable women transition into a safe home, rebuild personal confidence, self-
esteem and develop the resilience to live independently, widen their horizons and enable
them to develop new plans for their futures.

Both positions attract a salary of £26,000, 5% pension contributions and based on 35
hours per week. Annual holiday entitlement is 30 days and 8 days Bank Holidays. We
