Christmas Film Season at Pictureville Cinema Announced

Festive screenings set to run from late November to Christmas Eve

Pictureville Cinema, located within the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, will host a special Christmas film programme from 30 November to 24 December 2025. The season features a range of festive classics, family favourites, and films from the 1990s, offering a variety of screenings for different audiences throughout the holiday period.

Programme Highlights

The Christmas season at Pictureville includes several themed screenings, such as:

  • Festive Favourites: Titles include It’s a Wonderful Life, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and an IMAX 3D showing of The Polar Express.
  • A Very 90s Christmas: Films from the 1990s will be featured, including Eyes Wide Shut, Batman Returns, and Jingle All the Way.
  • Classic Sunday: Screenings of traditional Christmas films such as The Bishop’s Wife, White Christmas, and Meet Me in St Louis.
  • Kids’ Club: Family-friendly films including Elf, Home Alone, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

In addition to these, the cinema will offer a free Christmas screening for members, featuring a winter-themed print from the museum’s own archive.
