Bradford Cathedral Announces January Worship and Leadership Update

Bradford Cathedral has shared details of its worship schedule and leadership changes for January, highlighting opportunities for local residents to engage in prayer and community events. The Cathedral continues to play an active role in the city’s spiritual life, with a series of services planned in the coming weeks.
Recent and upcoming services
- On Christmas morning, the Cathedral was featured live on the BBC.
- The Midnight Communion service took place on Christmas Eve.
- The traditional Nine Lessons and Carols service was held on 21st December.
These events offered moments for both regular attendees and visitors to participate in the Cathedral’s seasonal worship. The Cathedral has encouraged people to invite guests to these and other services.
January worship schedule and leadership changes
As the New Year begins, the Cathedral will return to its regular rhythm of prayer and worship. The current Dean and his colleague, Ali, will conduct their final service on 18th January. The Cathedral has extended an open invitation to all members of the community to attend this service.
On the same evening, the Cathedral will host a service marking the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, an event that brings together different Christian denominations in the area.
Interim leadership and ongoing support
The Cathedral expects to announce the appointment of a new interim Dean in the coming weeks. The community is encouraged to continue supporting the clergy and lay teams who contribute to the Cathedral’s mission and activities.
