Theatre enthusiasts in Bingley will have the opportunity to see FUFC, a play that recently received critical acclaim at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The production is scheduled to be performed at the Bingley Arts Centre from 12 to 14 June 2026, with evening performances starting at 7:45pm.
About the play
FUFC is written by Mark Jackson and directed by Lucy Jackson. The play presents a personal story centred on one man’s experience following a cancer diagnosis. It explores the challenges of treatment and the emotional journey beyond diagnosis.
Set on a muddy football pitch under a “hungover council sky,” the play uses dark comedy to depict a heartfelt moment of connection between two old friends. It highlights themes of friendship, resilience, and hope in the face of adversity.

Lucy Jackson, who returns to direct the play after its successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, said: “It is truly wonderful to be directing this play once again.” The intimate nature of the production aims to engage audiences with its honest and relatable storytelling.
