New initiative offers outdoor activities for young people in Bradford

The Bradford City Football Club Community Foundation has introduced a new outdoor and adventure programme aimed at young people across Bradford and the surrounding district. The initiative, called the Elevate project, provides opportunities for participants to engage in various outdoor activities such as rock climbing, orienteering, and abseiling.

Programme details and partnerships

The Elevate programme currently offers tailored packages to partners of the Foundation, including Bradford College, which works with young people in the area. The activities are designed to be flexible and include options such as:

  • Day-long adventure activities
  • Overnight residential stays
  • Multi-location camping adventure days

During the multi-location camping days, the Foundation team visits local schools to deliver the programme directly to students.

Corporate and community involvement

In addition to working with educational partners, the Foundation also provides bespoke packages for local businesses, charities, and other organisations across Bradford and the wider district. These packages are designed to promote team building and community engagement through outdoor experiences.

Recent activities

Recently, a group of students from Bradford College participated in an outdoor session at Ilkley Moor, where they experienced a range of activities despite challenging weather conditions.
