Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC have announced the signing of defender Scott Duxbury, subject to league and FA approval. The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience from his time with several clubs across the Northern Premier League and other leagues, including recent spells with Bury FC and Hyde FC.

Player background and previous clubs

Duxbury has been part of promotion-winning squads during his career, featuring for Stockport County, Radcliffe FC, and Bury FC. He spent the latter part of the 2025-26 season with Hyde FC, where he contributed to the club’s efforts to avoid relegation from the Pitching In Northern Premier League – Premier Division.

Connection with manager Craig Elliott

Duxbury’s move to Bradford (Park Avenue) sees him reunite with manager Craig Elliott, who previously managed him at Boston United. The defender cited Elliott’s interest as a significant factor in his decision to join the club.

“I’ve played for Craig before and as soon as I knew of his interest, I wanted to make this move. Craig wants winners. He wants people who share the same ambition as him. He builds a team that shows plenty of desire and I’m in a position to bring experience to help us achieve our goal of getting promoted,” Duxbury said.

He also reflected on his past experiences at the Horsfall Community Stadium, noting positive memories from previous matches there.
