The D-Day Darlings and BBC Big Band to Perform in Bradford

A concert featuring The D-Day Darlings and the BBC Big Band is scheduled to take place at Bradford Live on 6 February 2027. This event will offer an evening of music inspired by the wartime and swing era, showcasing a range of classic songs and performances.
Details of the performance
The D-Day Darlings, a vocal group known for their wartime-inspired repertoire, will be joined by the BBC Big Band, conducted by musical director Barry Forgie. The concert will also feature special guest vocalists Lance Ellington, recognised for his work with the Strictly Come Dancing band, and Shirlie Kemp, formerly part of the duo Pepsi & Shirlie.
The programme includes well-known wartime favourites such as:

- The White Cliffs of Dover
- Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy
In addition, the concert will feature music associated with iconic bandleaders including Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Benny Goodman.
