Susan Calman to bring first major UK tour in a decade to Bradford’s St George’s Hall

Comedian, writer and broadcaster Susan Calman is set to perform at Bradford’s St George’s Hall this October.

Her new show, Tall Tales, features stories from the past decade of her career, including travelling the world, driving tanks, her love of cats and her experiences of getting older.

Calman began her professional career as a corporate lawyer, working in locations including the United States and Geneva, before leaving the legal profession to pursue comedy.

She went on to become a familiar face on British television and radio, appearing on programmes including QI, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz.

In 2017, she competed in Strictly Come Dancing, reaching week ten of the competition before going on to win the 2018 Strictly Live Tour with professional partner Kevin Clifton.

More recently, Calman has become known for her travel and adventure programmes, including Secret Scotland, Grand Day Out and Cruising with Susan Calman on Channel 5.

She is also the author of two books, Cheer Up Love and Sunny Side Up, and hosts the podcast Mrs Brightside, which explores mental health through humour and personal experiences.

Speaking about her return to touring, Calman said:

“It’s been ten whole years since I last headed out on tour, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the road. I’ve collected so many ridiculous and unbelievable stories over the last decade that it feels only right to share them in person – preferably while dancing badly. I can’t wait to see everyone across the UK again and have a joyful, hilarious time together.”

The Bradford performance is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, with tickets priced at £31.50 and age guidance of 14 and over.
