Upcoming Northern Premier League East Division fixture

Bradford (Park Avenue) will visit Bridlington Town on Tuesday 20 October for a Northern Premier League East Division match, kicking off at 7:45pm. The game presents an opportunity for Bradford to consolidate their position at the top of the table following a recent victory.

Recent form and league positions

Bradford (Park Avenue) returned to the summit of the Northern Premier League East Division after a 4-1 win against Ashington AFC at the Horsfall Community Stadium on Saturday. The team took a commanding 3-0 lead by half-time with goals from Jake Thompson, Scott Duxbury, and Ben Andreucci. Although Ashington reduced the deficit in the second half, Thompson scored again late in the game to secure the win. This result extended Bradford’s unbeaten league run to 12 matches, marking their best start to a season since 1964.

Meanwhile, Bridlington Town have shown improved consistency, currently sitting 13th in the league. The Seasiders have gone four games unbeaten recently, including a 1-0 victory over Stockbridge Park Steels and a 1-1 draw at Pontefract Collieries last weekend. Bridlington’s goal against Pontefract was scored by Ifeanyi ‘Destiny’ Nnenanya, with Connor O’Grady equalising for the hosts.

Previous encounters between the clubs

Last season, Bradford and Bridlington shared points in both their meetings. Their first match at Queensgate ended in a goalless draw, while the return fixture at Horsfall Community Stadium finished 2-2. Bradford had led 2-0 with goals from Marcus Carver and Connor Shanks before Bridlington fought back with goals from Tom Allan and Hamza Hamdosh.
