Bradford acknowledge Elliott’s Darlington appointment
November 6, 2026Bradford say discussions over the terms are continuing, while two club staff members will lead the team against Blyth Spartans.
Bradford (Park Avenue) have acknowledged Darlington FC’s announcement that Craig Elliott has been appointed as the club’s manager. The clubs are still discussing the terms of Elliott’s departure, Bradford said, and no terms had been agreed at the time of its statement.
The statement did not give further details about those discussions or say when they might be concluded. Bradford placed on record its thanks to Elliott for his time at the club.
Thomas McStravick, Bradford’s Sporting and Executive Director, said the club was disappointed to see Elliott leave. He added that interest in key personnel could follow success, and said Bradford’s focus remained on taking the club forward and achieving promotion.
Bradford invited expressions of interest in its managerial position. Those interested were asked to contact McStravick by email at Thomas.McStravick@bpafc.com. The club did not provide further information about the role or the appointment process.
Staff to lead team against Blyth
Assistant Manager Ryan Toulson and Academy Director Craig Large will lead the team for the fixture against Blyth Spartans, scheduled for the following day. The club’s statement did not say whether either would take charge beyond that match.
Bradford also addressed supporters ahead of the fixture, saying it looked forward to seeing them at the ground on Saturday to encourage the players from the terraces.
The statement therefore leaves two matters unresolved: the terms being discussed between Bradford and Darlington, and who will take over Bradford’s managerial role. It confirmed only that Toulson and Large would lead the side for the match against Blyth and that the club was seeking expressions of interest in the position.
