Bradford Rotary Club has pledged £2,000 to The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, helping provide vital support for underprivileged and disadvantaged children across Yorkshire.

The donation will fund Wi-Fi facilities at the charity’s four respite lodges at Marton Mere Holiday Park, Blackpool, and contribute towards food hampers for families staying at the lodges throughout the year.

Founded in 2011 by Ilkley businessman Mike Davies MBE, The Principle Trust has since provided free respite breaks to over 5,400 children affected by poverty, disability, trauma, abuse, mental health issues, and life-limiting conditions.

Speaking about the donation, Stephen Jordan, President of Bradford Rotary Club, said:
“We are delighted to support the work of The Principle Trust, which provides much-needed respite breaks for some of Bradford’s most disadvantaged families.”

Founder Mike Davies added:
“Thanks to the generosity of organisations like Bradford Rotary Club, The Trust can continue helping disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children to escape their everyday troubles and create valuable, happy memories.”

The Principle Trust Children’s Charity offers free respite breaks for disadvantaged families across Yorkshire. The charity operates seven holiday homes, including properties near Filey, in Blackpool, and fully accessible lodges on the banks of Lake Windermere.

Thanks to a 100% donations policy, every penny raised directly benefits children and their families.
