Local organisations collaborate to enhance support services

On Thursday 2 October, Bradford Central Foodbank and Renew Wellbeing jointly hosted a networking event titled “Connect Bradford”. The event aimed to foster stronger connections between referral agencies in the area, with the goal of improving the coordination and delivery of support services to clients across Bradford.

Event format and activities

Connect Bradford provided an opportunity for various local organisations to showcase their work and explore potential collaborations. The event included the following features:

• Stall Space: Agencies were offered the option to set up small stalls to present their services and engage with other attendees.
• Café-Style Networking: A relaxed environment was created to encourage informal and meaningful conversations among participants.
• Learning Sessions: Attendees received information about the services provided by Bradford Central Foodbank and Renew Wellbeing, including guidance on client referrals.
• Directory of Services: A printed and digital guide listing all attending organisations was made available to help participants connect with relevant agencies effectively.

The event also featured a short presentation by Josie Barlow, manager of Bradford Central Foodbank, followed by networking time and a light lunch.
