Bradford 2025 Invites Residents To Take Part In Household Survey
March 6, 2024Bradford is gearing up for a monumental year as it prepares to embrace its title as the 2025 UK City of Culture.
In a move to ensure the festivities resonate across the entirety of the Bradford District, the organisers have announced plans to delve deep into the community’s pulse. The initiative seeks to gauge the local sentiment towards arts, culture, and creative engagement, aiming to make the celebrations a meaningful success for Bradford’s diverse population.
In a partnership with research firm M·E·L Research, Bradford 2025 will conduct a survey targeting a representative cross-section of the district’s residents. This endeavour is not just about numbers; it’s about understanding the heartbeat of Bradford through its people, their quality of life, and their engagement with cultural activities. The survey will canvas opinions across every corner of the district, reaching out to individuals from all walks of life, ensuring that the sample mirrors the rich tapestry of ages and backgrounds found within Bradford.
From 19 February to 31 March, teams from M·E·L Research will traverse the district, knocking on doors in every ward to invite over 1,500 residents to share their thoughts. Through 15-20 minute interviews, the survey aims to paint a detailed picture of how residents feel about their local communities, their participation in cultural activities, and their overall quality of life.
The insights gleaned from this survey will be instrumental in shaping the 2025 celebrations. By establishing a benchmark of current attitudes and engagement levels, the organisers will be able to measure the impact of the City of Culture status on the district over time. The findings, set to be published on the Bradford 2025 website in May 2024, promise to offer a transparent and informed foundation for the year’s events and activities.
