Bradford BID Launches First Member Awards

Bradford Business Improvement District (BID) has announced the launch of its inaugural Bradford BID Member Awards, an event designed to acknowledge the innovation and resilience of businesses operating within the city centre. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday 25 June 2026 at Bradford Live, a notable venue in the city.

The awards will bring together businesses from various sectors including retail, leisure, hospitality, and professional services, alongside stakeholders and partners. The ceremony aims to celebrate the successes of the local business community and is expected to be a significant occasion in Bradford’s business calendar.
Stephanie Hirst, a broadcaster and DJ, will host the event and also perform as DJ during the after-party following the awards presentation.
The awards will feature ten categories, with a nomination process open to all member businesses. This allows companies of different sizes and industries to submit themselves for consideration. Nominations are accepted until 4 May 2026, after which a panel of judges will select the finalists.
Bradford BID’s role and comments
Jonny Noble, Chief Executive of Bradford BID, highlighted the importance of the awards in recognising the city’s business community. He noted that the BID represents 575 members in the city centre and emphasised the intention for the awards to be inclusive and representative of its members. The choice of Bradford Live as the venue and Stephanie Hirst as host was described as fitting for the event’s aims.
