Bradford By The Sea Brings Coastal Theme to City Centre

Seaside-themed event to run from 17 to 27 August

Bradford city centre is set to host a seaside-inspired event called Bradford By The Sea from 17 to 27 August. The event aims to provide a range of family-friendly activities and create a relaxed summer atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Event features and activities

• Deckchairs placed around the Mirror Pool for visitors to relax
• A large Playbox offering various children’s activities
• Garden games available for all ages
• A sand sculpture trail with coastal-themed sculptures displayed throughout the city centre

The sand sculpture trail has been designed by Sand in Your Eye, a company specialising in sand art. Visitors can collect trail maps from the Broadway Hub and follow the route to discover a secret word. Those who complete the trail will be eligible to enter a prize draw to win a £100 Bradford Gift Card.

Organisers’ comments

The event is organised by Bradford Business Improvement District (BID). Nikki Chadburn, business communications manager at Bradford BID, explained that the event is intended to attract people into the city centre by offering a fun and free summer activity. It is designed to appeal both to families seeking activities for children and to individuals looking for a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
