A new illustrated map is at the centre of a festive fundraising campaign for mental health support across the district.

Bradford District and Craven Mind is asking local businesses, organisations and members of the public to support its “Light Up Bradford District and Craven” campaign this Christmas. The charity says the money raised will help more local people access mental health support.

Local artist Ben Holden has produced an illustrated map for the campaign. It features landmarks, buildings and other places described as local favourites, alongside festive attractions and well-known sites from across the area.

Businesses and organisations can sponsor a piece of the map at one of three stated levels: £250, £500 or £1,000. Sponsored pieces will be highlighted on the map, recognising the organisations taking part. The campaign invites people to visit its campaign page to explore the map and find out how to participate.

How the campaign will support local people

The appeal is intended to raise funds for the charity’s mental health and wellbeing work in Bradford District and Craven. The charity says donations will contribute to support for people experiencing mental health challenges. The campaign also asks people who are unable to sponsor a map piece to help spread the word.

The fundraising initiative uses the map to connect local places and businesses with the appeal. Sponsorship is available to businesses and organisations, while the wider request is for community support through donations and sharing information about the campaign.

Those interested in taking part can use the campaign page to view the map and find out more about sponsoring a section or supporting the appeal. The charity’s stated aim is to raise funds so that more people locally can access help with their mental health.
