Come and join us as we launch our anti-racism movement

August 12, 2021 Off By admin

Partners across Bradford District and Craven are coming together with members of our communities to show our support for the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership’s anti-racism movement. As a place we are committed to a fairer and just society. We would be delighted if you were able to join us for an informative, engaging and supportive afternoon with the opportunity to sign the root out racism pledge. We have lots planned for the afternoon, including arts workshops and entertainment provided by local artists.

August 23

1-3pm

Centenary Square

If you are unable to attend we would really like your support. If you would like to sign the pledge banner as an individual or organisation or receive copies of any local materials please email emily.farlam@bradford.gov.uk.

This really is just the start and we will be looking to work with you as we embed a culture of anti-racism across our place.

About the movement

As part of a commitment to tackling racism & improving health equalities, our colleagues at the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership are launching an anti-racism movement in August, co-created by over 100 minority colleagues. The anti-racism movement has been developed following the partnership’s review in 2020 into the impact of COVID-19 on health inequalities and the disproportionate effect on ethnic minority communities and staff. If you haven’t already signed up or would like to spread the word please ask people to join this important movement & sign up for free resources https://bit.ly/3zmxEGd #WYHRootOutRacism
