Family Action is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident Community Engagement Coordinator to work in partnership between Family Action Perinatal Peer Support Service and Little Minds Matter: Bradford Infant Mental Health Service both funded by Better Start Bradford. To take the lead role in establishing and driving forwards a culturally responsive ‘community messaging’ portfolio around promoting positive infant mental health needs, development and attachment within the Better Start Bradford population.
The Services are both Better Start Bradford projects funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, which supports children in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton get the best start in life. They provide more than 20 projects for pregnant women and families with children aged under four, which aim to improve children’s emotional and social development, communication and language skills and nutrition. We are looking for an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator with the skills to consult with the Better Start Bradford community of parents on the best methods for getting culturally responsive infant mental health messages across, review the findings, and use this to inform planning for the next phase of infant mental health work.
You will have the ability to lead consultations with parents and the wider community through engagement events, both in person and online. The ability to plan the dissemination of infant mental health messages using the appropriate methodology including use of digital platforms, including the LMM online campaign and existing service resources and staff. In addition you will be able to lead a digital campaign that will help us to share our messages with families who are less likely to engage with traditional services and to support the data collection, evaluation, and dissemination of the impact from our community engagement work.
