Bradford College recently hosted a guest lecture for its second-year BSc (Hons) Optometry students, featuring Elizabeth Yeowart-Montgomery, Regional Medical Science Liaison for North England, Scotland and Ireland at EssilorLuxottica. The session focused on current developments in myopia management and introduced students to new optical technologies.
Insights into myopia control
During the interactive lecture, Elizabeth Yeowart-Montgomery discussed the latest clinical findings related to myopia, a common vision condition characterised by difficulty seeing distant objects clearly. She also presented the Essilor Stellest™ spectacle lens, designed to help control the progression of myopia in children. This lens is supported by scientific research and aims to improve eye health outcomes for young patients.
