Rising to £19,541 following successful 12 months training period.
Hours: 37.5 per week (FT applicants only)
Do you have excellent communication and listening skills and enjoy working with both adults and children? BHT Early Education and Training are looking to appoint Language Development Workers to work across the Bradford District alongside our staff teams and other professionals, delivering a variety of early intervention and preventative services and activities to support young children in their language and social development within homes, Primary Schools and Early Years Settings.
Parents play a central role in our work, which is delivered in partnership with them: a strong commitment to this approach is essential. You must also be able to demonstrate commitment to the on going development of your own skills and knowledge.
You may not have previously worked in a language support role but you will undergo a full training programme during your probationary period.
You will have a minimum of a level 3 or equivalent qualification in working with children, a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with children aged 0-5 and their families is essential, as is a full drivers licence and use of a vehicle.
These posts are funded through Better Start Bradford which is a community-led partnership programme working with families to help give children the best possible start in life. The programme covers Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton, due to the diversity of these communities we would welcome bilingual applicants.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st May 2024 that may be extended subject to external funding
