New Beneficiary Advisory Group Launches in Bradford District

Community Action Bradford & District invites voluntary sector participation

A new advisory group has been established to enhance engagement between Community Action Bradford & District and the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector across Bradford District. The group aims to provide a structured forum for organisations and individuals to offer feedback and help shape the services provided.

Purpose and Role of the Beneficiary Advisory Group

The Beneficiary Advisory Group is designed as an advisory forum rather than a decision-making body. Its primary function is to enable Community Action Bradford & District to:

• Receive regular feedback on the accessibility, quality, and relevance of its services
• Identify operational barriers, gaps in provision, duplication, or emerging pressures affecting beneficiaries
• Provide trustees with clearer evidence about what is working well and suggest practical improvements
• Support the organisation in testing ideas, reviewing priorities, and understanding the impact of changes from a beneficiary perspective

The group will meet regularly to encourage open discussion, constructive challenge, and practical problem-solving.

Membership and Inaugural Meeting Details

Membership is open to a broad range of organisations and individuals, including new or emerging small community groups, established charities, social enterprises, and network participants located anywhere within Bradford District. The group aims to reflect the diversity of the voluntary sector it supports.

The inaugural meeting is scheduled for:

This will be an in-person event with no advance booking required. Light refreshments will be available. The first meeting will focus on agreeing the group’s terms of reference, providing input on two major voluntary sector events planned for the following year, and discussing a current issue requiring support from attendees.
