Bradford District and Craven Mind, a local mental health charity, has appointed Hannah Workman as Chair of Trustees as of December 2024. The role involves overseeing the charity’s strategic direction and working closely with the management team to ensure organisational goals are met.

Role and Responsibilities

As Chair of Trustees, Hannah Workman leads the Board of Trustees, providing guidance and governance to the charity. She collaborates with fellow trustees and the Chief Executive Officer to align the organisation’s activities with its long-term strategy. Her focus is on utilising the skills of board members to support the charity’s mission effectively.

Professional Background and Experience

Hannah brings experience in governance, having previously served as a trustee for another organisation. Professionally, she has spent over ten years working in Human Resources as a Business Partner, supporting leadership development and employee engagement. These skills are considered valuable in her current role overseeing the charity’s governance.

Personal Connection to Mental Health

Hannah has a personal connection to mental health through her experience living with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), a condition that can cause significant emotional and physical challenges. This lived experience informs her commitment to ensuring accessible community support for people facing mental health difficulties.

Background and Interests

• Originally from the Midlands, Hannah moved to the north of England for university and has remained in the region since.
• She previously lived in Bradford for five years and currently resides in West Leeds.
• Outside of her professional and voluntary work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as walking and travelling, as well as exploring different cultures.
• She is also developing her DIY skills as a personal interest.
