Daily School Closure Report:

Steeton Primary School in Bradford has announced a partial closure affecting several classes due to heating issues. The closure is related to ongoing problems with the school’s boiler system and temporary heating solutions.

Details of the Closure

On Tuesday 27 January 2026, it was confirmed that four classes in the annexe building will be closed for the following day due to a heating failure:

  • Holly class (Year 3)
  • Silver Birch class (Year 5)
  • Rowan class (Year 6)
  • Ash class (Year 6)

The school is currently working to resolve the heating issues and hopes to reopen these classes on Thursday. Parents and carers are being kept informed through the school’s communication system, Ping.

Ongoing Updates

Bradford Council’s Education and Skills department continues to monitor the situation. Further updates will be provided as the school works to restore full heating functionality and normal operations. Other schools in the area do not currently report emergency closures, but information on scheduled closures and college updates can be found using the local school finder service.
