Sat 23 Sep | 1pm | Pay What You Decide | Age 7+

The Forest Dream is a wondrous tale inspired by the true story of The Forest Man of India, woven around his relationship with the mystical ‘Aranyani’, the Goddess of Forests. It aims to highlight the urgency of climatic trauma that is befalling us due to selfish acts like deforestation and rampant industrialisation.

Belonging to one of the largest river islands in the sometimes ferocious Brahmputra river, Jadav invites you to be a part of his tribe, his world and of what he seeks. Weaving in Carnatic music with western soundscapes, the production is a stylistic blend of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi (both South Indian classical dance styles) and contemporary dance. As the clock ticks irreversibly, this work, holding up a mirror to the current and the next generation, is an urgent plea to course-correct ourselves.

There will be Audio Description of The Forest Dream for audiences who are blind or partially sighted.

Join us from 11.30am for a FREE craft workshop using recycled materials.

Sat 23 Sep | 1pm | Pay What You Decide | Age 7+

This event is Pay What You Decide, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen the event.

Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for an event in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.

Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the event. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.

Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the event starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash or card on the door.
