Bradford district is one of 75 local authorities that are taking part in the Department for Education’s Family Hubs and Start for Life programme.

Part of the programme is parent panels, peer support groups and volunteering. There will be opportunities for front-line voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Bradford district to be funded for 12 months to run some of this work.

Here 4 Bradford District and Craven Communities (Here 4 BDCC) are hosting two Start for Life co-production events.

Co-production briefing event:

When? Wednesday 6th September, 10am to 11am – book a place
Where? Online (Zoom)

Join us online with Start for Life colleagues from Bradford Council to find out more about this work. The event will introduce you to the Start for Life programme and help you understand more about the work of the Here 4 BDCC partnership within the overall programme. Hosted by Soo Nevison and Sonjia Peers, we will be letting you know about our early plans to involve frontline organisations in this exciting work.

Co-production development session:

When? Thursday 14th September, 11am to 1.30pm – book a place (includes buffet lunch)
Where? Kala Sangam, Bradford City Centre

Join us to begin developing and shaping our work on Parent Panels, the session will give you the opportunity to help design how we will work in partnership with frontline voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations including letting us know which elements you could deliver for and with us. Frontline delivery of Parent Panels by voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations will be funded by the Here 4 BDCC programme. Hosted by Soo Nevison and Sonjia Peers, we aim to develop a delivery programme of Parent Panels across the district throughout the session. The session will start at 11am promptly, with tea and coffee available from 10.45am, and will finish at 1pm with a networking lunch.
