Translate One Engages Bradford College Interpreting Students

Students studying Level 3 Interpreting in the Community at Bradford College recently took part in a guest session led by Liz Weatherill, Managing Director of Translate One, the largest interpreting agency in Bradford. The session offered students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the interpreting profession and the practicalities involved in the sector.
Session content and student engagement
During the session, Liz Weatherill discussed various aspects of interpreting work, including the recruitment process at Translate One and the range of assignments interpreters may encounter. Students received practical advice on how to prepare effectively for interpreting assignments. The session concluded with a live question and answer segment, allowing students to engage directly with an industry professional.
Monika Romaniuk, Community Interpreting Lecturer at Bradford College, commented on the event, noting that the students were highly engaged and showed significant interest in the information presented about the interpreting field.
