Invitation to tender for a what’s on website and a free of charge print offer

As UK City of Culture 2025, our vision is to use arts and culture to fuel the social, economic and creative renaissance of Bradford District. Our landmark year of culture is set to deliver more than 1000 new performances and events including 365 artist commissions, a series of major arts festivals as well as exciting national and international collaborations.

Engaging audiences with arts and culture over the next 3 years is a top priority. We want to connect audiences with all the creative activities in the district; we want to make the process of finding out about arts and cultural events easy, accessible and free of charge.

Through our research, we learned that audiences need a central portal to find information about performances, workshops, classes and opportunities in the arts and culture sector. Unfortunately, Bradford currently doesn’t have a widely used what’s on website or a free arts and culture print offer. We would like to invite people to submit proposals to build, develop and manage these two new projects.

The arts and cultural sector need a digital platform to connect creatives/artists/organisations and their events/performances/ workshops with audiences across the Bradford District.

Audiences struggle to find information about events in the district, and we would like to resolve this problem by creating an accessible digital platform where people can upload their events – a what’s on website for arts and culture in the district with accessible and creative content that reflects the diversity of Bradford and engages people as young as 16 years old.
