Women’s U19’s Head Coach Appointed

We are delighted to announce Kieran Walker has been named the head coach of our newly-formed Under-19s Women’s side!

Our Women’s team was formed in 2016 and enjoyed instant success, winning the treble in 2017 before a Championship Shield success in 2018.

And now to build a pathway for girls to get involved with rugby league, a ‘Womens Under-19s’ side will represent the Bradford Bulls, building the next generation of players and providing opportunities for those in the local area.

“Coming from Widnes my involvement in Rugby League has been from the very beginning playing in mud baths of winter to the late nights of summer rugby. Playing for the Vikings academy on the return to Super League was a dream come true,” said Walker.

“I moved on to a full time career in the Royal Air Force where I kept my love for the game going. Over the last 4 years I have been involved in coaching within the RAF. 3 years of coaching the RAF Women’s RL side and now moving on to the Men’s Academy.

“I spent last season as Shaun Flynn’s assistant in what was a tough but successful season for us in terms of goals. I can’t wait for this season already and I looking forward to what is a great privilege in creating the U19’s program developing the next generation of Bulls first team and future national stars.”
