
Bradford City Complete Signing of Midfielder Max Power
May 17, 2025Bradford City A.F.C. have announced the signing of midfielder Max Power on a two-year deal, following his departure from Danish Superliga side AGF.
Power, 31, brings extensive experience and a strong record of success, including three promotions from Sky Bet League One with Wigan Athletic in 2015/16, 2017/18, and 2021/22. He also captained Sunderland to EFL Trophy glory at Wembley Stadium during the 2020/21 season.
Adding further international pedigree, Power recently secured promotion to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Qadsiah under manager Robbie Fowler.
Throughout his career, Power has amassed over 500 appearances across the English Football League, Danish Superliga, and Saudi First Division. He has also played 88 times in the Championship with Wigan, contributing 49 goals and 64 assists overall.
Speaking about joining the Bantams, Power said:
“I am delighted to get the deal done so early in the summer and excited to get going. I was watching how the season finished closely and was as excited as everybody else here when the goal went in in the 96th minute! I could not wait to come here.”
City manager Graham Alexander expressed his enthusiasm about the signing, adding:
“I am extremely pleased to start our summer recruitment by bringing Max to the club. He brings a wealth of experience with promotions under his belt and proven quality. After meeting with him, his enthusiasm to come and play for us was clear to see. We all look forward to working with him.”
Power’s move will officially begin on July 1, 2025, subject to the relevant EFL, FA, and international clearances. He will be sponsored by Clear Image Systems during his time at the University of Bradford Stadium.
