Bradford City Fans Encouraged to Travel Sustainably with New Rewards App
February 10, 2026Local football supporters can win season tickets by choosing greener travel options
Bradford City AFC and its Community Foundation have partnered with BetterPoints, a rewards app recently launched across West Yorkshire, to promote sustainable travel among the club’s supporters. The initiative encourages fans to use active or public transport when attending home matches, offering the chance to win an adult season ticket for the 2026/27 campaign.
How the BetterPoints app works
The BetterPoints app is designed to reward people who choose environmentally friendly travel methods such as walking, cycling, wheeling, or using public transport. The app tracks journeys automatically once downloaded and awards points based on the type and distance of travel. These points can be redeemed for high street vouchers, local business offers, or donated to charities.
Competition details for Bradford City supporters
- Fans must download the free BetterPoints app from Google Play or the Apple Store.
- Travelling to any of Bradford City’s eligible home fixtures using active or public transport will record the journey in the app.
- Each match attended using sustainable travel methods counts as one entry into the prize draw.
- Multiple match attendances increase the chances of winning.
- The prize draw covers the final nine home games of the current season.
- The winner will receive an adult season ticket for the 2026/27 season.
- Only supporters aged 18 or over are eligible to enter.
- The winner will be announced on Friday 8 May 2025.
- If the winner has already purchased a season ticket for 2026/27, they will receive a full refund.
In addition to the season ticket prize, bonus BetterPoints rewards will be available at each game.
Greener Bantams initiative
This partnership supports Bradford City AFC’s Greener Bantams programme, which aims to reduce the club’s environmental impact through various sustainability efforts. These include:
- Energy and carbon reduction measures at the stadium
- Waste reduction and improved recycling strategies
- Promoting sustainable matchday activities, including eco-friendly transport and packaging
The BetterPoints team will be present at the club’s home match against Peterborough on Saturday 14 February, the first official Greener Bantams Day, to engage with supporters and provide information about the app and rewards scheme.
