Club Seeks Volunteers to Support Matchday and Stadium Operations

Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC has announced plans to grow its volunteer team, recognising the vital role volunteers play in supporting the club both on and off the pitch. The club marked Volunteers’ Week, which took place from 1 to 7 June, by welcoming three new volunteers who will assist with matchday media and stadium maintenance.

Volunteers are considered essential to the club’s ongoing development and ambitions. The club is inviting individuals who are enthusiastic and committed to join their team, offering a variety of roles that cater to different interests and skill sets.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

The club currently has openings in several areas, including:

  • Matchday media: roles such as social media assistants, commentators for home and away games, and videographers
  • Matchday operations: positions including welcome hosts, supporter engagement assistants, and fundraising assistants
  • Stadium maintenance: helping with the upkeep and preparation of the club’s facilities

Some volunteers have used their experience at Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC as a stepping stone to careers with recognised sporting clubs and organisations. Others volunteer out of a passion for the club and a desire to contribute to the local community.

The club emphasises that it relies on the dedication, honesty, and hard work of volunteers to continue progressing. They welcome applications from people with previous experience at football or sports clubs, as well as those looking to gain experience in an ambitious football environment.
