February 20, 2026Sporting and Executive Director discusses future ambitions
Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC is focusing on both on-field performance and off-field growth as part of its ongoing development strategy. The club’s Sporting and Executive Director, Thomas McStravick, has highlighted the importance of collective effort, community engagement, and strategic partnerships in driving progress.
Focus on creating a strong environment for the first team
McStravick emphasised the leadership team’s commitment to fostering the best possible conditions for the first team to succeed. This includes investing in football operations as well as enhancing the matchday atmosphere to provide players with a genuine home advantage. The role of supporters is seen as vital in this process, with their passion and commitment regarded as fundamental to the club’s ambitions.
Upcoming fixtures and community initiatives
The club is preparing for key fixtures that will serve as opportunities to engage with the local community and demonstrate its ambitions:
- Match against Redcar: The club plans to launch a major promotional campaign aimed at attracting over 600 supporters. As part of the event, supporters will be able to enjoy pre-match drinks priced at £2.50, with live music scheduled from 1:30pm. This initiative aims to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for both new and returning fans.
- Fixture versus Hallam: A Junior Takeover Day will be held to celebrate the club’s junior section and the pathway it is developing for young players and families. This event is designed to strengthen connections within the community and promote a sustainable club culture.
Partnerships and fan experience
Beyond matchdays, Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC is prioritising the development of partnerships with local businesses, community organisations, and supporters. These relationships are central to the club’s strategy to enhance its presence and reputation across the city.
Improving the fan experience at the ground remains a key objective, with the club aiming to ensure that every visit offers value, enjoyment, and a strong sense of belonging.
Long-term vision
McStravick concluded by emphasising the principle that a stronger club off the pitch will lead to a stronger team on it. The club aims to create an environment that enables players to compete effectively, entertain supporters, and achieve success.
