Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC will travel to the Tameside Stadium on Saturday 5 September to face Curzon Ashton in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Qualifying. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm as both teams look to advance in the competition.
Recent form and previous meetings
The Avenue secured their place in this round with a 4-0 victory against Mossley AFC in the Preliminary Round. Goals came from Charlie Winfield, Scott Duxbury, Robbie Fox, and Marcus Carver. Bradford have also started their league campaign positively, remaining unbeaten with three wins from four matches so far this season.
However, Bradford will be aiming to bounce back following their FA Trophy exit last weekend against Stalybridge Celtic.
Curzon Ashton compete one tier above Bradford in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, currently sitting seventh and occupying the final playoff position. After a challenging start to their season, Curzon Ashton have won their last three league games, showing improved form.
Last season, both clubs competed in the National League North. Bradford won the home fixture 2-1, while the away match ended in a goalless draw.

Getting to the Tameside Stadium
- By car: From M60 Junction 23, take the A6140 towards Ashton-under-Lyne. Continue on Lord Sheldon Way (A6140), passing the Village Hotel and Ashton Leisure Complex. At the Ashton West Tram stop traffic lights, turn left onto Richmond Street. The stadium is approximately half a mile on the left.
- By tram: The nearest tram stop is Ashton West, about half a mile from the stadium at the top of Richmond Street. Ashton West is the second to last stop on the Ashton line to/from Manchester Piccadilly, with trams every 12 minutes and a journey time of around 30 minutes.
- By train: Trains from Manchester Victoria on the Huddersfield line stop at Ashton-under-Lyne station, which is a 10-15 minute walk from the stadium.
- Parking: Free parking is available, including six disabled spaces and a large overspill car park near the stadium entrance.
Stadium facilities
The Tameside Stadium has a capacity of approximately 4,000, with two covered stands and terracing on all four sides. The main stand offers 524 seats, while the remaining areas are standing terraces. Facilities inside include a function room and a bar.
