Bradford (Park Avenue) have secured their place in the Northern Premier League East Division play-off final following a 2-1 win against Matlock Town at their ground last night. Despite entering the match as underdogs, Avenue delivered a strong performance to overcome the higher-ranked hosts and progress to the final.

Matlock Town, who finished the regular season in second place, held home advantage for the semi-final and were considered favourites against fifth-placed Bradford (Park Avenue). The two teams had previously drawn 0-0 earlier in the season, while Avenue had won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Horsfall Stadium, thanks to a brace from Ben Andreucci.

The semi-final began cautiously, with both sides showing defensive discipline. Avenue opened the scoring through a well-constructed team move. Connor Brown delivered a precise ball behind the Matlock defence for Prince Ekpolo to chase. Ekpolo then cut the ball back to Marcus Carver, who finished confidently by placing the ball into the roof of the net.
