The Bradford (Park Avenue) Sports Foundation recently took part in the Rotary District Conference held at Scarborough Spa, highlighting its ongoing community projects. The two-day conference brought together Rotary clubs from across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire to discuss their work supporting young people, environmental efforts, health, and community wellbeing.
Presentation on youth-focused football programmes
Mat Everett, Community Director of the Bradford (Park Avenue) Sports Foundation, was invited to present during the Youth Showcase segment of the conference. His presentation focused on the Foundation’s partnership with Rotary and the impact of several key initiatives aimed at using football to support young people in Bradford.
Among the programmes discussed were:
- Rotary Kickback – a project designed to engage youth through football activities.
- Breaking Barriers – an initiative aimed at overcoming social challenges faced by young people.
- Extra Time Club sessions – ongoing football sessions intended to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of community among participants.
