Bradford (Park Avenue) to Face Gainsborough Trinity in Final Pre-Season Friendly

Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC will play their final pre-season match against Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday 1 August, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. This fixture will take place at Gainsborough’s home ground, the Northolme, which is known as the oldest serving single-team football ground in the world and also referred to as the KAL Group Stadium.
About Gainsborough Trinity
Gainsborough Trinity, managed by Russ Wilcox, who previously managed Scunthorpe United and Farsley Celtic, finished seventh in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division last season. They narrowly missed out on a playoff position by five points, ending the campaign with 59 points from 40 games.
The club has seen some changes ahead of the new season. They have lost their top goalscorer Jonathan Margetts, who has moved to Matlock Town. However, Gainsborough Trinity have retained much of their squad and added new players, including:
- Midfielder Elliott Whitehouse
- Winger Theo Williams
- Striker Connor Brown
These signings aim to strengthen the team as they seek to improve on last season’s performance.
