Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC has confirmed that midfielder Connor Shanks will continue with the club for the 2026-27 season. The 24-year-old, who has made over 100 appearances for the club, remains an important part of the squad under manager Craig Elliott.
Player background and career history
Connor Shanks was born in Halifax and began his football career in the Huddersfield Town youth system. In 2017, he joined Bradford City’s Academy and made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy that September. After returning to Huddersfield Town, Shanks had loan spells with Nuneaton Borough and Boston United.
In 2023, Shanks made a permanent move to Spennymoor Town, a club based in the North East of England. Following a brief loan period at Bradford (Park Avenue), he transferred to Gainsborough Trinity before returning to the Horsfall Community Stadium in 2024.
Role at Bradford (Park Avenue)
Since rejoining Bradford (Park Avenue), Shanks has been a regular feature in the team. Last season, he reached a milestone by making his 100th appearance for the Green Army. His performances contributed to the club securing a playoff position on the final day of the regular season.
