Former goalkeeper re-joins club to support first team

Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC have confirmed the return of Steve Dickinson as the First Team Goalkeeper Coach. Dickinson, who previously played for the club, is set to work with current goalkeepers Declan Lambton and Lucas Jones.

Background and previous involvement with the club

Steve Dickinson has an extensive non-league playing career, having represented Bradford (Park Avenue), Kendal Town, Ossett Town, Guiseley AFC, and Southport FC. He is recognised locally for his experience in developing goalkeepers and contributing to successful squads.

Dickinson has previously served as a goalkeeper coach at Bradford (Park Avenue) during the management periods of Mark Bower and Danny Boshell. His return marks a second spell in this role at the club’s Horsfall Community Stadium.

Recent activities and achievements

Since his departure from Guiseley AFC, Dickinson has been involved with the England Veterans team. Notably, he was part of the squad that won the Senior World Cup in 2026, where the team won all their group matches, the semi-final against Australia, and the final against France.
