HOUSING SUPPORT WORKERS

Fusion Housing provides housing advice, housing related support services, learning & employment opportunities to people in Kirklees, along with managed tenancy services in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week

Salary: Band 3A, £23,541 to £24,491 per annum, with potential progression to 3B

Location: Dewsbury and Huddersfield

Benefits include: Generous holiday entitlement: 30 days annual leave, plus 2 floating days,

plus bank holidays! Employer’s pension contribution of 5% of salary.

Fusion are part of a partnership of social sector organisations working to support people in our community who face an increased risk of homelessness as a result of their support needs. Their goal is to help the people using their service to secure or maintain suitable accommodation, to improve their health & well-being, and to develop the skills they need to live independently.

Fusion are looking for motivated, dynamic individuals to join their team of skilled and experienced Housing Support Workers, working one to one with their participants to achieve their goals in an outcomes-based framework.

You will have:

  • At least 2 years’ recent experience of working in a supportive capacity with individuals experiencing one or a combination of the following: homelessness, mental ill health, substance misuse and/or offending
  • Experience of working in the field of housing and homelessness
  • Up to date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing legislation
  • The ability to respond effectively to the needs of individuals in a non-judgemental way
