Young People’s CSE Outreach Worker – female

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a key individual to join the Young Person’s team at Basis Yorkshire. Working within a harm reduction ethos, you will be supporting young people to effectively safeguard them and reduce the risk of further exploitation, providing intensive 1-2-1 work within a multi agency approach.

Young People’s Child Sexual Exploitation Outreach Worker 35 hrs per week | 12 month contract Salary: £25,339 per annum The closing date for applications is 12 midnight Tuesday 6th April, please note applications received after this time will not be considered. The Young People’s team work across Leeds, providing specialist support to young people experiencing CSE. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights based approach to enable and empower young people to make positive choices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people, can embrace our core values of respect and trust and will support us in providing a unique service through their creative approach. You will need to have:

• A passion for empowering and enabling young people
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working with vulnerable people, at least 2 of which are with ideally young vulnerable people or those at risk of child exploitation
• Experience of multi-agency partnership working
• Experience of working in a regulated environment, managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse and vulnerable client group
• An ability to thrive in an environment that is often challenging and pressurised.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and use of car.

You will be based in Leeds ( in-office work will be COVID-19 dependent) and may need to work unsocial hours. Basis is committed to quality, equality and valuing diversity.
