Navigation and Support Worker (DV and Housing)

Basis is looking to appoint a Navigation and Group Support Worker (Domestic Violence and Housing) who is passionate about advocating for and ensuring the needs of women who are or have been experiencing domestic violence are met (such needs may or may not relate directly to the domestic violence they have experienced and is likely to be affecting housing).

You will be offering 1 to 1 support, helping women to navigate the wider system including statutory and third sector services in Leeds (where needed the criminal justice system). This is a key role for us at Basis as many women we support have experienced domestic violence or are still experiencing this and require support in this area. This role is part of a wider team that works with adult women who identify as sex workers and women who are sexually exploited and abused

Service Delivery Manager (Adult Women)

Basis is looking to appoint a Service Delivery Manager for the team who work with adult women including those who sex work and/or are sexually exploited. We hope to appoint someone who is passionate about managing a service that meets the needs of women who are sex working and/or sexually exploited. As part of the leadership team, you will leading a team of 8 frontline staff and pro-actively working with partners (inc funders) to ensure health, social care, housing and criminal justice systems deliver the best outcomes for the women we work with.

You will pro-actively seek out opportunities to work alongside experts by experience, be tenacious in challenging stigma and take an evidence based, trauma informed approach, centring the voices of women we support at the heart of our work. This will include ensuring efficient processes and procedures are in place for staff and for women to access services safely and being curious about potential for practice improvement and innovation. You will understand the importance of safeguarding procedures, promote workforce development as well as self-care (for everyone in the organisation) and ensure the frontline team are effectively supported due to the levels of (vicarious and other) trauma experienced.

You will be based in Leeds (in-office work will be COVID-19 dependent) and may need to work unsocial hours. There is some free parking but parking near the office will also be reimbursed.
