About the novel
Thornby Manor is described as a gothic tale set in Warwickshire in 1891. The story follows Briar Monroe, a recently orphaned and destitute young woman who finds refuge at Thornby Manor, an estate overlooking a mist-covered lake. The novel explores themes of betrayal, obsession, and secrets hidden within the manor’s walls. It has been compared to classic gothic works such as Jane Eyre, Rebecca, and The Woman in White.
