Bradford Bookfest Returns to Albion Mills in July 2026

The UK Bookfest will be held at Albion Mills in Bradford from 3 to 11 July 2026, marking its first event at this long-term venue. The festival will offer a wide selection of books, primarily second-hand with some new titles, catering to readers of all ages and interests.
Event details and book selection
The Bookfest will run daily from 8am to 8pm, except on Sunday 5 July when it will be open from 1pm to 4pm. Visitors can browse tens of thousands of books, including categories such as:
- Baby Board Books
- Picture Fiction and Non-Fiction
- Junior Reading
- Teen
- Adult Fiction (sorted by genre and popular authors)
- Adult Non-Fiction (divided into four sections)
- Maps
- Foreign Language books
The majority of books will be second-hand, but a selection of brand new books will also be available for the first time at this event.
Pricing structure
Entry to the Bookfest is free. Prices for second-hand adult books vary throughout the event:
- 3–5 July: £3 per book
- 6–8 July: £2 per book
- 9–11 July: £1 per book or fill a bag for £10 (children’s books included in this offer)
Children’s books are priced at £1 each throughout the event and are included in the fill-a-bag offer on the last day.
New books are priced as follows:
- 3–5 July: £5 per book
- 6–8 July: £4 per book
- 9–10 July: £3 per book
- 11 July: Not available for sale (bag day only)
Location and accessibility
The Bookfest is located at Albion Mills, Albion Road, Bradford, BD10 9TQ, near the Bizspace reception. This is a different unit from previous events held at Albion Mills.
Parking directly outside the venue is limited and reserved for disabled visitors and customers collecting large orders. Additional parking is available along Albion Road and in a large car park at the top of the site.
Public transport options include:
- Bus stop outside the venue served by the number 60 bus from Leeds City Centre and Keighley
- Bus numbers 640 and 641 stop nearby on Albion Road from Bradford City Centre
- Apperley Bridge train station is approximately a 25-minute walk away, or a short bus ride on the A2 bus
- Leeds/Bradford Airport is about a 17-minute drive or accessible via the A2 bus

- Donations of books are accepted before and during the event
- Shipping of purchased books is available at cost (£6 for 20kg)
