FOSPS Winter Ceilidh Scheduled for February

Friends of Saltaire Primary School (FOSPS) are organising a Winter Ceilidh on Saturday, 7 February 2026, at the Kirkgate Community Centre. The event aims to bring the community together for an evening of live folk music, dancing, and food, with proceeds supporting the local primary school.

- Time: Doors open at 6:00pm

- Age Guidance: 18 and over
- Ticket Price: £20 per person
The ticket price includes entry to the ceilidh and a plate of pie, peas, and mash. Food will be served between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
Music and Dancing
The live music will be provided by the Shakey Wakeys, featuring members of the Doonan family, who are known in the local folk music scene. The ceilidh will feature two dance sessions:
- First dance: 7:00pm to 8:00pm
- Second dance: 9:00pm to 10:00pm
The event is structured so that not all attendees will be dancing simultaneously, allowing time to enjoy food, drinks, and socialising between dances. The Kirkgate Community Centre will have a main room for dancing as well as additional rooms for eating and relaxing.
Purpose and Booking
The event is organised to raise funds for Saltaire Primary School. Attendees are encouraged to book tickets in advance as spaces are limited.
