Free Hot Drinks and Bike Registration for Car Free Day
September 17, 2026Britannia House to host event supporting sustainable travel on 22 September
Residents and workers in Bradford are invited to Britannia House on Tuesday 22 September 2026 to mark Car Free Day. The event encourages people to leave their cars at home and use alternative modes of transport such as cycling, walking, or public transport.
The Active Travel team will be providing free hot drinks to attendees at Britannia House between 9am and 2pm. Vouchers for these drinks can be collected at Britannia House and redeemed at the café located within Darley Street Market.
Bike marking and registration available
Those who cycle to the event can have their bicycles marked and registered with BikeRegister, a national database preferred by the police. This service aims to increase the chances of stolen bikes being recovered and returned to their owners.
Information stalls promoting active travel and wellbeing
Several organisations will be present at the event to provide information about active travel and health initiatives in the Bradford district. These include:
- Living Well
- BetterPoints
- Beryl Bikes
- Park Run
Attendees are encouraged to visit these stalls to learn more about local projects and opportunities to improve wellbeing through active travel.
