Friday Portrait Group Meets Monthly in Oxenhope

A portrait drawing group will be meeting monthly at the Oxenhope Community Centre, providing a space for both beginners and experienced artists to practise and develop their skills. The group convenes on the second Friday of each month and offers informal tuition and support.
Event Details
- Date and Time: Second Friday of each month, 1:30pm to 3:30pm
- Location: Oxenhope Community Centre, Shaw Lane, Oxenhope, BD22 9LH
- Cost: ÂŁ10 per session for adults (cash only), ÂŁ5 for under 18s
- Break: A short break with tea and coffee is included around 2:45pm
Participation and Materials
Participants are required to bring their own drawing materials and paper. Suitable materials include pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolour, acrylic, or gouache paints. However, pastels that create dust and oil paints are not permitted due to the public venue. Artists may also bring their own easels if preferred.
The group welcomes under 18s, but those under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No prior booking is necessary to attend the sessions.

The Oxenhope Community Centre is located off Shaw Lane. Visitors should turn off Hebden Bridge Road onto Shaw Lane and then immediately turn right down the track to reach the centre.
