Family-friendly short films to be screened at Darley Street Market

The Leeds Young Film Festival (LYFF) is bringing a selection of short films to Bradford this September. The event, titled Leeds Young Film Festival On Tour, will take place over two days at Darley Street Market, offering free screenings of a range of films suitable for all ages.

About the film programme

The festival will showcase two curated collections of short films from around the world. These films explore themes of connection, including relationships between animals and humans, friendship, and family bonds. The stories include:

A pair of bears discovering a magic wand in the woods
A band of musical animal friends
A buzzing bumblebee and mischievous garden squirrels
Human stories such as an unexpected friendship formed in a hat shop
Friends navigating a video game adventure
Children creating their own knitted grandmother

All films are U-rated, feature closed captions, and have minimal or no dialogue, making them accessible to a wide audience including children and those with hearing impairments. The films will be shown on rotation on a large screen in the market courtyard.
