About the Bradford Art Show

The Bradford Art Show highlights the district’s diverse and vibrant visual arts scene. It features works from local artists across various disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, film, and textiles. The exhibition is curated around the theme OUR PLACE, showcasing interpretations that reflect contemporary Bradford.

The show includes contributions from emerging and established artists, as well as those creating outside professional frameworks, offering a broad representation of the local creative community.

Curator and Event Details

This year’s exhibition is curated by Dr Kerry Harker, an independent curator and researcher. Dr Harker is the Bridget Riley Art Foundation Fellow at the University of Leeds and has curated exhibitions at notable venues such as Impressions Gallery (Bradford), Harewood House, The Tetley, the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery (Leeds), The Hepworth Wakefield, and the Saatchi Gallery in London.

During the event, Dr Harker will lead a tour focusing on the curatorial processes involved in creating the Bradford Art Show. The session will include a question-and-answer segment, allowing attendees to explore various aspects of exhibition-making and curating.
