Our Story, Our City Exhibition Comes to Bradford
January 26, 2026Exploring Bradford’s People Through Photography
An exhibition titled Our Story, Our City will be held at the Lower Grange Community Centre in Bradford on 7 and 8 February 2026. The event will showcase a photographic exploration of Bradford’s residents from the turn of the millennium to the present day.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition features a touring photo collection by Our Patch, including works by photographers Andy Walton-Vaines and Keyhan Modaressi Chahardehi. Andy Walton-Vaines originally undertook a project in 1999 to photograph a portrait of a resident of Bradford every day throughout the year. His aim was to capture a visual record of the city’s population at the start of the new millennium, covering every postcode district in Bradford.
Inspired by Walton-Vaines’s original exhibition titled Millennium People: Their City, Their Stories, Our Patch has commissioned Keyhan Modaressi Chahardehi, a young photographer and filmmaker, to recreate this process. Modaressi Chahardehi’s work will present a contemporary portrait of the Bradford district, reflecting changes and continuities in the city’s population.
