Step Up For Bradford Stadium Climbing Challenge Announced

Bradford is set to host a unique fundraising event, Step Up For Bradford, on 22 March 2026 at the University of Bradford Stadium, home of Bradford City AFC. The event aims to bring together participants to take on a step-climbing challenge designed to promote both mental and physical wellbeing.
Event Details
Step Up For Bradford offers participants the opportunity to climb the stadium steps repeatedly to reach cumulative heights equivalent to well-known local landmarks. The challenge can be completed individually or as part of a relay team, allowing groups to divide the climb among members.
- Otley Chevin: 282 metres, 56 climbs
- Malham Moor: 411 metres, 82 climbs
- Whernside: 736 metres, 147 climbs
Participants can select the climb that suits their fitness level and ambition, with options ranging from the shortest to the most demanding ascent.
Participation and Registration
The event is open to individuals aged six years and over. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is available for solo participants or teams, encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to take part together.
Tickets are priced at £5.00 per participant. Those interested in taking part can register through the official website.

The challenge will take place at the University of Bradford Stadium, the home ground of Bradford City AFC, on Saturday 22 March 2026 from 1pm to 5pm.

The event is organised in partnership with Bradford City AFC’s official mental health partner, aiming to raise awareness and support for mental wellbeing alongside physical health.
